The green light is Charles Darwin's end of the building. The land dips down creating another separate private area underneath the building. The red light is Stephen Hawking's area, apart from entering the middle of the hollowed cube via the ramp, he too has a separate area on the land inside the base of the hollowed cube. These two private areas are distinct from each other as Stephen Hawking's area is on a higher plane compared to Darwin's separated by the steep hill and vegetation.
Both scientists are able to easily meet at the front of the building where the yellowish light and vegetation is.
